Old Course Siam Country Club holds the record of being the first privately owned course in Thailand and is the country’s second course when it opened in 1970. The course is set in low hills lined with mature trees said to be more than 50 years old and was originally designed by Japanese architect Ichisuke Izume. It underwent a complete renovation in 2006-2007 by Schmidt-Curley wherein the original routing was retained but overall modernized and upgraded along with its facilities to keep up with international standards. Up to this day, Old Course Siam Country Club is a popular choice and is still one of the best in Asia with its well-maintained course and grounds. Their excellent service has enabled them to house the US LPGA, Honda LPGA, LPGA Thailand and host several other international golf tournaments and raking in awards.

The Clubhouse has kept its charm in the original structure back from the 1970s but also underwent a major makeover for improvements in keeping up with the changing times to suit the needs and taste of its guests. The Clubhouse is cleverly perched on an elevation overlooking the Old Course and the surrounding valley. To appreciate this scenic location more, there are mounted binoculars in the country club for a closer view. The facility is fitted with a modern resort design for a more laid-back vibe. The restaurant has indoor dining and an alfresco with a gorgeous view of nature. Unlike most golf clubs, Old Course is accessible by a more luxurious mode of transportation by chopper with their very own helipad.
